The final round of the Italian Open at the Virginia Country Golf Club, saw Spanish player Andres Pastor and Italy’s Enrico Ciuffarella fight it out in a play off to decide the championship.

After a successful event in June at the Green Tiber course near Rome, the San Marino Open was recently featured in an Italian sports magazine.

The 7th San Marino Open was held on the 27th and 28th of June at the Green Tiber course near Rome and the mens divisions was won by Angelo Fusco, of Italy.
Shooting a 161 over the 54 holes, Fusco defeated countryman,
Mauro Ricevuti, with France’s Jean Claude Richard coming third.

The 7th San Marino Open teed off on Saturday at the Green Tiber course near Rome.
After the first two rounds, the lead is shared by Italian players, Mauro Ricevuti, and Angelo Fusco. These players are five shots ahead of France’s Jean-Claude Richard.
The final round looks to be an exciting and tension packed 18 holes.

On the weekend of the 27th and 28th of June, the 7th San Marino Open will be held at the new Green Tiber Pitch and Putt course in Rome.
With the honour of being the first event under the IPPA umbrella, organisers hope the event will attract players from all over Europe.

The International Pitch and Putt Association, IPPA, is already planning new and innovative events for the international calendar in 2010.
