The first England Open winner was Juan Fernandez Ardavin, Spain with score 159, on the second place with score 164 Juan Pedro Monjo Bossi, Spain and the third Anthony O’Brien, England with score 167.

IPPA is pleased to announce that our competition schedule for 2010 starts with an invitational event in March in Spain.

The declared policy of IPPA is to work to provide exciting competitions of a high standard for players all over the world.

If your federation/association is unable to send a team, please let us know as we shall extend the invitation to other organisations in your country.

We sincerely hope that this inaugural event in Valencia will give as many players as possible an opportunity to appreciate the enormous potential of international Pitch & Putt so that we can all work together for the future of the sport.

Italian Open – Pastor wins play off

The final round of the Italian Open at the Virginia Country Golf Club, saw Spanish player Andres Pastor and Italy’s Enrico Ciuffarella fight it out in a play off to decide the championship.

Italian Open - the winning style

Victory went to Pastor, playing in his first International Open with Ciuffarella second and France’s Jean-Claude Richard in third place.

In the ladies division it was Italy’s Virginia Arzani who took the honours and the seniors
was won by Fabrizio Frassoldati.

The 8^th Italian International Pitch and Putt Open will take place at the popular Virginia P&P Club, Como, Italy on the 26th/27th of September. The initial closing date for receipt of entries is the 15^th September; this will enable the organisers estimate the numbers attending from other IPPA Members. The final closing date will be the 23th September.

This annual event is one of the highlights of the international calendar.

The 7th San Marino Open was held on the 27th and 28th of June at the Green Tiber course near Rome and the mens divisions was won by Angelo Fusco, of Italy.
Shooting a 161 over the 54 holes, Fusco defeated countryman,
Mauro Ricevuti, with France’s Jean Claude Richard coming third.

Enrica Antonucci won the ladies division from Michelle Hudson.

San Marino Open 1st round.

The 7th San Marino Open teed off on Saturday at the Green Tiber course near Rome.
After the first two rounds, the lead is shared by Italian players, Mauro Ricevuti, and Angelo Fusco. These players are five shots ahead of France’s Jean-Claude Richard.
The final round looks to be an exciting and tension packed 18 holes.
